September can be a stressful time of year for parents, students, and teachers. Transitions back into school are often marked with many unanticipated hurdles. Academic challenges, behavioral meltdowns, social missteps, and other challenges abound. However, key strategies can help the parents and schools get on the same page and working toward common goals for so many of our at-risk students.
Rather than waiting until regression occurs and fingers are pointed, IEP team members can come together with a common vision before more restrictive or drastic changes become necessary.
This workshop walks participants through pitfalls and successes, highlighting strategies to encourage and facilitate collaboration and growth throughout the school year and beyond.
